SYNOPSIS Nanotechnology is an important part of South Korea's scientific development strategy. Since 2001, Korea has been driving nanotechnology’s full-scale development by establishing the National Comprehensive Development Plan of Nanotechnology (NCDPN) in every 5 years and formulating a national plan called the "Long-term Vision for Science and Technology Development Toward 2025."
The country’s long-term economic ambitions are solidly anchored in a range of state-driven scientific R&D programs, and are generously funded by both the private and public sectors.
This Symposium will illustrate both academic and commercial approach of South Korea’s nanotechnology thanks to Professor Kim and Mr. Song’s speeches who will present and compare their experiences to italian and international audience.
