SYNOPSIS
The project, funded for two years by the Lazio region and with a focus on industries active in Lazio, explored synergies for a responsible development and a safe use of nanomaterials (NMs) amongst the National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità - ISS) and regional and national innovative industrial players active or interested on nanotechnologies The final goal of the project will be the publication of a national web platform acting as a guide and focal point concerning regulatory and safety aspects of nanomaterials, based on the wide experience of ISS on the matter. In this session, relevant updates on normative requirements for the use of nanomaterials in chemicals, biomed and agri-food sectors, and specific results achieved on nanosafety resarch will be presented. All players interested in Responsible Research and Innovation of NMs are welcomed to the session. |
