SYNOPSIS
The European Centre of Nanomedicine (CEN Foundation, http://nanomedicen.eu) was created in 2009 by a group of institutions based in Lombardy, with the aim of developping innovative solutions for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, establishing an internationally recognised centre of excellence in nanomedical research and building a truly interdisciplinary and synergic network among its partners. CEN is now making an effort to create an Italian Platform for Nanomedicine (IPN), strongly connected with the European Platform of Nanomedicine (ETPN), in order to synergize the Italian research and translation efforts in the area of nanomedicine, including nano-delivery systems, nano-diagnostic, nanostructured materials for regenenerative medicine, 3D-nanostructured models for in vitro cultures. The session aims to propose an overview on the collaborative efforts recently performed by some of the research groups affiliated to the CEN Foundation and collect the interest of other public and private research actors and companies. |
