SYNOPSIS
Nanotechnology may trigger a revolution whenever atomically precise manufacturing will be reached opening the door to extraordinary improvements in the cost, range, and performance of products ranging from nanocomposites for aircraft to nano-delivery systems for medicine. Nowadays nanotechnologies affects many industrial fields such as medicine and energy thanks to continuous collaborations between companies and research centres. This workshop will be divided in two sessions: the first one will show how the open innovation approach is necessary to overcome the valley of death within the innovation sequence in the field of nanotechnologies. The latter will be a round table aimed at preparing a to-do-list action for the development of the Italian ecosystem of innovation within the field of nanotechnologies.
