X-Ray Microscopy
Microscopy techniques based on X-ray are emerging as one of the most promising and multidisciplinary tools for understanding structural and functional properties of nanomaterials and nanodevices. The potentialities of these techniques are related on the large amount of different signals and interaction that can be exploited to investigate the materials, both on the lab-scale and on large scale facilities scale, like Synchrotrons and Free Electron Lasers. In this session we will focus on some examples of these applications, like X-ray phase tomography, fluorescence microscopy and photoemission microscopy, both in the biological and in the material science application fields.
