Innovation in Transmission Electron Microscopy
Transmission Electron Microscopy is nowadays a fundamental tool for nanotechnology, thanks to its incomparable capability to provide structural and chemical information over a range of length scales down to atomic dimensions. Besides the conventional TEM imaging, TEM offers a unique opportunity for characterize functional properties and characterize materials interactions at the at the nanoscale. This session will focus of the most innovative and intriguing techniques in this field, namely holography and phase modulation, 3D electron tomography and diffraction, in-situ and in-operando TEM.
