Roberto COMPARELLI
CNR - IPCF

 Dr. Roberto Comparelli (Ph.D. in Chemistry 2004) is Staff Researcher at CNR-IPCF Bari Division. His expertise covers colloidal nanocrystal (NC) synthesis, characterization and surface engineering. He has strong background in the application of photoactive NCs in degradation of organic/inorganic pollutants in water and gas matrices and in the preparation and characterization of NC-based self-cleaning coatings. He is also interested in NC incorporation in polymer matrices, application in optoelectronic, self-assembly and biological fields. He has been involved in 5 EU projects and 15 Italian projects. He is the scientific director of research contracts with multinational companies. He has co-authored over 85 papers (including 69 JCR publications, 6 book chapters, 1 international patent). He has contributed more than 150 international congresses also with invited talks (www.cnr.it/people/roberto.comparelli).
