Fabrizio GALA
Sapienza University of Rome

 Fabrizio Gala was born in 1978 in Rome, and graduated in theoretical physics from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2003; then he has got a phD in Electromagnetism in 2008.

Since 2004 he has started working on quantum mechanical numerical simulations of the electronic properties on nano-materials of interest in technology; the main topics investigated include: specific surface recognition by hydrated amino-acids, characterization and electrochemical studies of new organic compounds used in the field of organic photovoltaics, gas adsorption on carbon based nano-structures, functionalization of semi-conducting surfaces with self-assembled monolayers, and the stability properties of point and extended self-interstitial defects in gallium arsenide crystals.

He is the co-author of more than 20 scientific publications on international peer reviewed journals.
