TS.II.B.5
A survey on responsible development and use of nanomaterials in Italy
Federica LODATO, AIRI
In the framework of the NanoLab project, AIRI is conducting a survey on research and development of nanomaterials and nano-related products and their responsible development in Italy.
Results will be used for the preparation and dissemination of the tools created by the project for risk management and communication of nanomaterials.
A wide sample of public and private organizations active in the field of nanomaterials and nanotechnology (research, development, innovation) in Italy are being invited to the survey. So far, the survey is collecting data coming from more than 100 subjects in Italy, including information on: R&I areas on nanotechnologies, type of nanomaterials used/produced, applications and products, research activities on safety issues, tools and approaches for risk management, priorities for responsible development, risk management and communication.
Although the survey is today still ongoing, preliminary results are already available. The outcomes of the survey and its next steps will be illustrated in this presentation.
