Giuseppe Valerio BIANCO
CNR NANOTEC Bari
Giuseppe Valerio Bianco received the Laurea degree in “Chemistry” (year 2006), and Ph.D. in “Innovative Materials Chemistry” from the Bari University (year 2010). He has been a research fellow at the CNR-IMM, Institute of Microelectronics and Microsystems, for two years (2010-2012) and is a research fellow at the CNR-NANOTEC, Institute of Nanotechnology, since march 2012.
His main scientific expertise, attested by 46 publications on international journals, includes: (1) CVD and plasma enhanced-CVD and PVD methodologies for the synthesis of 1D (semincoductor nanowires), 2D (graphene, WS2 and MoS2), and 3D (metal nanoparticles) nanostructured materials; (3) wet and plasma- chemistries for the surface treatments of nanomaterials; (4) optical and electrical characterization of composite and hybrid nanostructured materials.
His recent scientific activities are concerned mainly with the synthesis and optimization of large area CVD graphene for application in photonic (operating in the visible and microwave range) and optoelectronic devices.
