(Centro Interdipartimentale di Nanomedicina)
Maddalena Collini is Assistant Professor of Applied Physics at the Physics Department of the University of Milano Bicocca.
The research activity of MC is mainly focused on the application of fluorescence microscopy techniques, correlative spectroscopy and imaging to nanomedicine and the.study of the dynamics of complex biological systems. MC is PI of a time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy facility for biomolecules and a super-resolution optical microscope. MC is also co-PI of a facility for nonlinear optical microscopy devoted to biophysical, medical and nanomedical projects at the university of Milano-Bicocca. In recent years MC has bee investigating the properties of gold nanoparticles to be employed for hyper-thermal treatments. MC is member of interdisciplinary research centers of the University of Milano-Bicocca: NeuroMi and NanoMIB .
MC published about 80 papers on international journals and to more than 90 communications to national and international congresses.
