Maria CAPORALI
CNR ICOMM Firenze
Maria Caporali got her PhD in Chemistry in 2003 at the University of Florence (Italy) developing a thesis on rhodium-catalysed hydroformylation. Soon after, she moved to Eindhoven University of Technology (NL) as postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. P. van Leeuwen where she worked on CO/ethene copolymerization. In 2006, she joined the group of Dr. Maurizio Peruzzini at CNR-ICCOM in Florence, where her main research interests are focussed on different aspects of Phosphorus Chemistry as selective functionalization of Phosphorene, a new phosphorus-based 2D material, metal-mediated activation of white phosphorus and synthesis of metal and metal phosphide nanoparticles and their application in catalysis.
She has served as Guest Editor for a special issue in Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. (2014) and in Inorg. Chim. Acta (2015) and she has authored 37 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 1 book chapter, 16 oral communications and 32 poster contributions to national and international conferences.
