| Reflecting the growth of interest on the field of nanotechnologies for safety and security, Nanoinnovation 2016 devotes a specific session on this important application scenario. This interest largely stems from the commitment and success of the research as well as a bustling industrial community. Moreover, a number of emerging nanotechnologies seem to have the potential to provide significant benefits in various fields including the security, environmental and agriculture sectors. New and emerging applications are expected to provide new tools to address new challenges on these fields. In this context, the scope of this session will be to provide an overview of the current scenario of the application-oriented research in the area of nanotechnologies for safety, security and quality assurance with specific reference to the food quality and environmental monitoring. |
