Dr Marco Roman got his PhD in Chemical Sciences at University Ca’ foscari of Venice with a thesis on trace speciation analysis of selenoproteins in body fluids and tissues. Then he got postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for the Dynamics of Environmental Processes of the Italian Research Council (CNR-IDPA) in Venice (Italy) for studying metallomics of nanosilver used as antimicrobial agent for treating burn patients. From 2013 till 2016 he was research assignment at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice, focusing his research activity on trace and ultratrace elements in the environment and humans. Since 2016 he is researcher at the European Center for the Sustainable Impact of Nanotechnology (ECSIN), laboratory of EcamRicert Srl in Rovigo (Italy), working on the physicochemical characterization of nanomaterials and nanomaterial-containing products.
